New Hampshire ( NH ) based food photography and food videography company Earl Studios recently completed production of the Fredericks Pastries "Cupcake Wars" audition video. Cupcake Wars is a Food Network TV show that pits competing cupcake bakers against each other for a large cash prize.
"Fredericks contact me right after hearing they were invited to audition, so I think I was as excited about producing the video as they were." Said Earl Studios owner Jeremy Earl Mayhew. "I had produced a couple of short pieces for them including the hugely popular "Turkey Cakes" commercial, so they were confident in my ability to produce a video with so much riding on its success"
The video was shot over an entire day during which Fredericks Pastries made approximately 500 assorted cupcakes as part of a promotional event that day during filming. Shooting with the new Nikon D7000, Earl Studios was able to capture the footage in HD while maintaining the beautiful depth of feild that has made their photos such powerful. The footage was then edited along with the interviews to produce a piece that that was not only quirky and entertaining, but also portrayed the quality, professionalism, and history that makes Fredericks Pastries an award wining business.
"I love working with Fredericks Pastries," Said Mayhew, "I can't think of a better group of people to be on a tv show, hopefully they will get their own reality show out of it, they deserve it!"
