In my travels shooting the hit tv show, "The Chefs Plate" (airing on WBIN Saturdays at 3pm), I often get introduced to restaurants in New Hampshire I otherwise wouldn't ever know about. Which is the point of the show, to help others find the great restaurants of New Hampshire and Massachusetts. A couple of weeks ago Scott, Helen, and I braved the frigid temperatures of New Hampshire to head up to Keene. Yes, it was cold at one point this month!

Finally the ski season is here! As you know, I have two big passions, food photography and skiing, and for a few months a year, my life and my schedule become consumed with both. This year I was lucky enough to be brought back as Crotched Mountains official photographer and videographer, to produce all of their films, commercials, and images this season. Its and increadible honor for me, beucase few people know this, but this is only my third year on skis! This morning we had an early morning commercial shoot for a local restaurant, and shooting around food all morning we were starving, so after we wrapped the shoot we decided to venture out and try something new for lunch. Spending almost every morning enjoying the amazing coffee and even more amazing employees at Panera, I drive right by Pennichuck Square in Merrimack, and I've seen signs for the new Mexican food restaurant El Tapatio. They have gotten great reviews on Yelp.com, and feeling both famished and adventurous, we decided to take the crew in for lunch. When we first arrived th

We are no strangers to The Pasta Loft in Milford, NH. Its actually to the point where they know our voice when we call to order our favorite "working late in studio" meal, the chicken broccoli Alfredo pizza with cheese bread. With all the takeout we enjoy, we felt it was time for a change, and decided to swing in for an impromptu lunch.

Living on "the facebook" as I do from time to time, I kept seeing the Swan Chocolates facebook page announcing their new cupcakes, as well as their unique promotion, where by if you come in and say the word of the day from their facebook page, you get a free cupcake. Well, being the frugal person that I am, how could I turn down such a special!? Growing up in Merrimack, I remember the location that is now Swan Chocolates as an old convenience store and deli, and what memories it brings back when I walk in there. Swan Chocolates has done such an amazing job with the decorations and feel of the shop inside, it is both casual and elegant, and hopefully on my next visit I will be able to sit down and spend a little time in the shop.

Its no secret that I LOVE Shorty's Mexican Roadhouse. I've been going there for almost 15 years, ever since that first time I took my true love in for a first date over fried ice cream. It has been a staple in my life, and one of those places that brings back memories of a simpler time in my life, when I could eat four burritos and not gain a pound :-).
